Aluminium Extrusion Solutions

Ozbros Ltd provides an integrated aluminium extrusion solution—from controlled billet production through extrusion, machining, surface treatment and delivery, backed by engineering and commercial support in the UK and an extensive manufacturing base in Turkey.

Whether you need architectural profiles, structural automotive/EV sections, rail and marine profiles, or precision-machined components, we help you reduce total cost and risk by managing the full route: billet → extrusion → fabrication → coating → packing → delivery (DAP/DDP).

Send an RFQ now (drawing + annual volume + alloy/temper + finish + key tolerances). We’ll confirm the best route and provide a practical proposal.

What makes Ozbros different

A solutions-partner approach

Many extrusion suppliers quote what they can press. We start with your function and total-cost target:

  • Reduce part count through smart profile design
  • Improve yield and surface quality by controlling billet and process parameters
  • Simplify assembly with machining, welding and kitting
  • Improve delivery performance with UK support and stockholding options

Our structured approach:

  1. Understand your application, tolerances, finishing, and compliance needs
  2. Select the best extrusion route (press size, die strategy, alloy/temper)
  3. Engineer the downstream route (machining, coating, assembly, packaging)
  4. Validate quality controls and traceability expectations
  5. Sustain performance with continuous improvement and stable supply

Integrated production: billet casting + extrusion in one controlled route

In-house billet casting for extrusion performance

High-quality billet is the foundation of stable extrusion. By controlling billet production, we can fine-tune chemistry and cleanliness to achieve consistent flow, surface finish, and mechanical properties—especially important for structural sections.

Billet production capability (typical):

  • Hot-top air-slip casting with automated process control
  • 100% ultrasonic testing (NDT) to detect internal defects
  • Billet diameters: 6″, 7″, 8″, 9″, 10″, 14″, 24″ (programme dependent)
  • Billet length: up to 7,300 mm
  • Traceability: integrated production data capture (MES/SAP-style traceability approach)

Why it matters for your product

  • More predictable extrusion behaviour (less scrap and rework)
  • Improved consistency for machined interfaces and welded assemblies
  • Better reliability for safety-relevant structural parts

Extrusion presses & what they enable

Standard to heavy-duty press capacity (12–62 MN)

This range supports broad market needs—from architectural and industrial sections to heavier structural profiles.

45 MN HybrEx press lines (structural focus)

Hybrid-drive press lines are commonly selected for high-performance structural profiles where productivity and energy efficiency are important.

150 MN extrusion press (large profiles & tube capability)

Designed for large-scale aluminium products, including:

  • Profiles up to 900 mm wide
  • 650 mm diameter capability
  • Up to 30 m length
  • Mandrel extrusion for seamless tubes

Extruded products we supply

Structural profiles

For automotive/EV, rail, trailer, marine and general engineering applications—where repeatability, mechanical performance and traceability matter.

Architectural profiles

Profiles designed for consistent surface finish, coating quality, and dimensional stability for fabrication and assembly.

Tubes, rods and bars

Including mandrel-extruded seamless tubes (project dependent) and solid sections for machining and fabrication.

Alloy range (typical programme + development)

Standard and commonly supplied alloys include:

  • 1xxx: 1050, 1070
  • 6xxx: 6060, 6061, 6063, 6082, 6463, 6005A, 6008, 6351
  • 7xxx: 7005, 7020, 7075
  • 2xxx / others: 2011, 9003
  • Custom alloy development supported via an experienced R&D function (subject to volume and technical requirements)

If your requirement is tensile-property-driven (not just chemistry-driven), we can propose an alloy/temper route and validation plan.

Surface treatment options

We offer surface treatments selected to protect aluminium and deliver the finish you need:

  • Anodising (performance + appearance; colour options depending on specification)
  • Powder coating (durability, weathering resistance, wide colour range)
  • Mill finish (for machined parts or customer-applied finish)

Coating quality standards (project dependent):

  • QUALICOAT / QUALANOD (where applicable to the supply route)

Mechanical & secondary operations (complete extrusion solutions)

To deliver profiles ready for installation or assembly, we provide a full set of fabrication services:

  • Precision saw cutting
  • CNC machining (including MAZAK & MODIG machining centres)
  • Drilling, turning, punching
  • Bending & welding (robotic and manual)
  • Deburring, assembly, kitting & packing
  • Robotic welding & machining up to 30 metres (project dependent)
  • CMM measurement and advanced QC systems

Full traceability through production

Quality, traceability & certifications (requirement-led)

We support demanding applications by aligning quality controls with customer requirements (automotive/rail/marine/aerospace/structures).

Quality building blocks:

  • Billet NDT (ultrasonic) and process controls at the metal source
  • Full traceability approach across production steps
  • Dimensional inspection (CMM), in-process checks, and controlled packaging

Typical standards customers may require (availability depends on exact supply route):

  • ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS/ISO 45001
  • IATF 16949 (automotive)
  • IRIS / EN 15085 (rail)
  • AS9100 (aerospace)
  • Lloyd’s Register / DNV (marine)
  • EN 1090 / ISO 3834 (structures and welding)

(Only publish certifications on your site that your audited scope genuinely covers—otherwise keep this section as “requirements we can support”.)

Industries we serve

  • Automotive & EV (battery housing profiles, crash management components, structural members)
  • Railway (structural and interior extrusions)
  • Trailer & commercial vehicle
  • Marine (walkways, platforms, structural sections)
